SmithHosmer attorneys obtain directed verdict

SmithHosmer recently won another trial in Chatham County.  Representing a major national retailer, SmithHosmer attorneys were able to obtain a directed verdict on defamation claims arising from termination of employment.  Following cross-examination of the Plaintiff, and after hearing argument regarding the law of publication within the context of a corporate investigation, the Judge ended the trial before the defense needed to present a single witness.
